JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Upper Crust Pizza in Jonesboro was serving up slices to prisoners raising money for the March of Dimes.
A Jail-N-Bail took place through noon on Tuesday.
Volunteers like Nettleton FBLA member Alden Weeks, called people for an hour, raising as many donations as possible.
"We're learning to fund raise and talk to people in the community and get help so, it's really good practice for us in the future but we're also helping babies and doing things for a good cause."
Director of the March of Dimes for Northeast Arkansas, Rachel Guerin, said its community support that helps the March of Dimes do the work they do.
"We want to make sure that every baby has a healthy start in life and we do that by funding research and making sure that no woman has to experience a loss during a pregnancy"
At least $0.75 of every dollar you donated goes straight to the March of Dimes mission.
