JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Someone must have had a serious snack attack, because police say they stole several cases of chips and dips.
A Frito-Lay delivery driver told Craighead County Deputy Jeania Burns he parked his truck around 8 p.m. Monday in the 5800-block of Highway 1 South.
When he returned the next morning, he discovered several cases of food missing from the back.
According to the incident report filed Wednesday, approximately $946 worth of peanuts, chips, popcorn, salsa, and cheese dip were stolen.
The driver told the deputy he was the last driver to leave the facility and he locked the barbed wire gate behind him.
The driver said the doors on his delivery truck had been jammed and was unable to lock them until recently; however, he said he did not lock the doors the night the theft occurred.
Burns reported the entire facility is fenced and there was no sign of damage to the fence, the gate lock, or any other delivery trucks parked on the property.
