Police investigating pedestrian hit and run in MO

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) - Police in Caruthersville are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

According to Chief Tony Jones, the incident happened on Oct. 2 around 10:30 p.m. on Marlar Road near the Taven Apartments. Jones said the pedestrian was walking along the road when the vehicle crossed the lane and hit the person.

The individual did not sustain life-threatening injuries. Jones said the vehicle then drove away from the scene.
