A Greene County teenager was injured in a single vehicle accident with a deer Wednesday afternoon, according to a Jonesboro police report. According to police, Victoria Lyn Henry, of Paragould, was impaled by a deer antler during the accident.
According to police, Henry was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus on Johnson Avenue at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday near the Sonic restaurant.
According to Henry's mother, the antler impaled the left side of her face. She said doctors told the family that Henry is fortunate to be alive.
Henry was airlifted to The Med in Memphis, where she has since been transferred to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
Henry is a senior at Paragould High School.
