FORREST CITY, AR - A tractor-trailer rig with a full load of new computers was stolen from a St. Francis County truck stop. But police found the vehicle, with its shipment in tact, later at another truck stop in neighboring Phillips County.
The truck's driver told police he'd picked up the $500,000 worth of Hewlett Packard computers Tuesday in Memphis. The thief disabled a global positioning system in the cab of the truck. But the vehicle had a back-up system that enabled law enforcement to find the vehicle in West Helena.
Police say they were able to get some fingerprints from the stolen truck, and the investigation is continuing.
