A-State Men’s Basketball ‘Meet The Team’ Night Scheduled for Oct. 28
JONESBORO, AR (ASU) – The Arkansas State University men's basketball program will be holding its annual ‘Meet The Team' night Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the A-State Convocation Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Red Wolves Foundation (RWF) members are invited to arrive at 5:30 p.m. (CT) and watch the Red Wolves practice, hear from A-State head coach John Brady and have dinner courtside with members of the 2014-15 A-State men's basketball team. Those RWF members who plan to attend are asked to please RSVP through the A-State men's basketball office at 870-972-2077 by 5 p.m. (CT) Friday, Oct. 24.
Following the dinner, the doors will open to the public at 7 p.m. (CT) and attendees must enter through the upper red entrance at the Convocation Center. Parking is also free on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The free event will feature 2014-15 A-State men's basketball team player introductions and videos, a dunk showcase, a photo booth with team players along with A-State mascots Howl and Scarlet, and an autograph session with the Red Wolves' players.
“We're excited about this event and we're hoping for a great turnout,” said A-State head coach John Brady. “This is a wonderful opportunity for Red Wolves' fans to come out and meet our team. We have a number of new players on this season's team so we hope fans will use this event to get to know our players in an up close and personal way.”
The A-State men's basketball team, which registered 19 victories for the second season in a row this past 2013-14 campaign (19-13 overall record), will tip off its 2014-15 season with a pair of exhibition games versus Henderson State (Nov. 5) and Southern Arkansas (Nov. 12) at the Convocation Center. A-State's official 2014-15 season opener is Nov. 17 against Tennessee-Martin and represents the first of 13 regular-season home contests for the Red Wolves.
