JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

New information was released by Jonesboro police Monday about the arrest of a Helena-West Helena man charged with aggravated robbery.

According to Jonesboro police, Marlon Braggs Junior, 27, of Helena-West Helena was arrested Sunday for aggravated robbery out of Phillips County. During his arrest, police found a loaded .380-caliber Sig Sauer in his pocket.

Braggs was arrested without incident.

According to a Jonesboro police report taken in mid-August, a Jonesboro man reported his pistol was stolen from his unlocked truck. During Braggs arrest, the weapon came back as stolen.

Braggs was ordered to appear in court Monday, October 20th on the gun charge.

According to police, officers found Braggs at a house on 1208 Dana Street Sunday night.

A news release stated that SWAT officers were deployed and established a perimeter around the home.

Braggs was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.

According to the news release, Lt. Roy Coleman "said that Phillips County authorities indicated to Jonesboro police that Braggs is a person of interest in a homicide that occurred in that county."
