JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Students at one Region 8 school got a hands on lesson on how to manage money from the experts.
Representatives from Iberia Bank visited with kids at the Microsociety Magnet School in Jonesboro.
They spoke to students about how cities are laid out in agriculture, business and residential sectors.
Representatives even discussed managing finances and how banks work.
Third grade teacher Kate Mitchell says having community members come into the school is invaluable in reinforcing the skills they work so hard to teach.
"People coming from the community in an actual bank showing them this actually applies to real life is being reinforced even more."
This is the third year for Iberia Bank to participate in financial day at Microsociety Magnet School.
