Did you know 3.2 Million students are bullied each year? How about that 6 out of 10 teens witness bullying at least once a day?
Girl Scouts- Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas is taking action to change this. It's a great time to join in the anti-bullying movement since October is National Bullying Prevention Month.
You can join in Girl Scouts National movement to take a stand and stop bullying by joining in their events they have on their Facebook page- facebook.com/girlscoutsusa.
Locally, we're having an event on Nov. 22nd at RPN Athletics for girls Kindergarten through 12th grade in the community. Even if you're not a Girl Scout, you can still register to come! We're going to have girls sign the " No Bullies" pledge, see the ASU Cheerleaders perform, and talk about their experiences with bullying, plus be apart of a martial arts demonstration from Joey Perry's Martial Arts.
Come be a part of teaching girls to choose to be a friend first, not a bully! Visit our website- www.girlscoutsdiamonds.org for more information.
