Fugitive couple from Illinois arrested in Stone County

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) -

Two fugitives from Illinois were arrested in Stone County after officers got leads about where they were staying, according to a news release from the Stone County Sheriff's Department.

According to police, Jonathan Dean Riggs and Khelsey Leigh Johnson, both of Galesville, Illinois were arrested at a Mountain View home.

Riggs was charged with burglary and criminal damage to property. Johnson was charged with unlawful aiding a fugitive and obstructing justice.

Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds said the United States Marshal Service and Stone County deputies coordinated an operation and arrest of Johnson and Riggs.

Riggs is being held at the Stone County Detention Center on a $600,000 bond. Johnson is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Both will be extradicted back to Illinois.
