JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Politicians are out on the campaign trail, trying to secure votes before next week's midterm election. Senator Mark Pryor made a stop in Jonesboro Wednesday. He visited with people at the St. Bernards Senior Life Center.
Pryor spoke with audience members, listened to any concerns they had and worked to deliver an important message to them.
"Get out and vote, especially early vote," Pryor said. "People can go to their local courthouse and vote. And what we're seeing is big numbers of people early voting this year. It's an increase of about 35% as compared to 2010, and that's great. It's good for Arkansas; it's good for the country."
Pryor said he wants Arkansans to get out and vote so their voice is heard.
Early voting started Oct. 20 in Arkansas. Election Day is Nov. 4.
