A Better Region 8: Voting - your civic duty

Are you ready for election day? I know I certainly am.

When I ask that question, a lot of us think about the large number of political ads we've seen here in Region 8, but that's not what my question is really about. Are you READY for election day, meaning are you planning on doing your job as an American by getting to the polls? Maybe you have already. Good for you!

There is no doubt that there is so much at stake in this election for both parties. And whether you are red or blue, we as Americans need to exercise our right to vote.

If you aren't planning to vote or aren't registered, I have a message for you. You lose your ability to complain about the outcome. It baffles me that so many in our society choose not to vote . Do you realize by doing that you are actually letting others decide for you?

By not voting, you're letting others take control of the country away from you. Don't let that happen. No matter which side you're on, go vote. The United States is the greatest country on our planet because We the People decide. Do your civic duty as an American and vote. It will make this A Better Region 8.
