1 injured in early morning Paragould fire

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Paragould fire officials are investigating the cause of an early-morning blaze.

A home on the 4600-block of Pruetts Chapel Road was damaged by smoke after an early morning fire, according to Paragould Fire Chief Kevin Lang.

Lang said his department was called out to the home around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

One person received burns as a result of the fire, but the injuries were not life-threatening, Lang said. Also a family pet was killed in the fire.

Lang said no foul play is suspected.
