Man arrested after deputies find 5 pounds of meth under bed

A Jackson County man is being held in lieu of $1 million bond after police say they seized more than 5 pounds of methamphetamine (ICE) at his home.

Danny Thomas Andrew, 52, is charged with drug trafficking, manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a drug premises, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use, and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture.

Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, along with Arkansas State Police and the White County Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at Andrew's home on Friday, Nov. 14.

Officers found more than 5 pounds of ICE under Andrew's bed, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. It was the largest methamphetamine seizure in the county. Officers also seized $1,937 in cash.

Deputies arrested Andrew without incident.
