Funeral Arrangements Set for Jonesboro Police Chief

JONESBORO, AR - Funeral arrangements have been set for Jonesboro Police Chief Floyd Johnson, who died Monday morning in his sleep at his south Jonesboro home.

According to a JPD spokeswoman, visitation for Chief Johnson is set for 5-8 p.m Wednesday evening at Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro, while memorial services will follow Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Emerson Chapel.

Johnson served as Craighead County Sheriff from 1967 to 1988, and was appointed Jonesboro's Police Chief in 1993.
