JONESBORO, AR - Police say they've made no arrests yet in a case involving two recent Region 8 shootings.

On Sunday night, Carol Howell was wounded in the leg when the suspect allegedly fired off two rounds from a shotgun in rural Sharp County.  Then early Monday afternoon, Jonesboro attorney Bill Webster was shot in midtown Jonesboro outside his Franklin Street law office, by a man that police believe to be the same shooter.   Now, authorities say they have a name and vehicle description of the person suspected in both shootings.

"His name is Allen Evans.  He was known by one of the victims, so we do have positive ID on him and warrants out for his arrest," said Sharp County Sheriff's investigator Joe Stidman.

Until that time, authorities say Evans should be considered armed and dangerous.  He is believed to be driving a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo with Florida tags, WC8906.  Meanwhile, both Jonesboro and Sharp County authorities are unsure of Evans' next move.  "We do not know where he is currently at, or where he is going.  He does have family, I understand, in the Batesville area," said Stidman.

Sharp County authorities say all law enforcement personnel in Region 8 are on the lookout for Evans.

Meanwhile, Webster remains in critical condition in a Jonesboro hospital at this time, following several hours of emergency surgery on Monday afternoon.
