FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) -

Two people are in a St. Francis County Jail accused of robbing a man who gave them a ride to the store.

Forrest City police said they were called out to Freemans Grocery on November 6 in response to a man who said he was robbed at gun point.

The man said he was giving a man and woman a ride when the man pulled a gun on him and demanded money and his cell phone.

The pair was later identified as Antonio Peters of Forrest City and Lajericka Gist of Jonesboro, according to the report.

Forrest City police arrested Peters and Roberts on the 300 block of Ash Street on November 14.

Police said Peters was charged with aggravated robbery, theft of property under $1,000, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and obstructing a government operation. Gist was charged with aggravated robbery, conspiracy, and theft of property under $1,000 conspiracy.
