Arkansas State University Police investigate holiday burglary

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Arkansas State University Police said someone broke into several offices inside the communications building at Arkansas State in Jonesboro.

According to Lt. Jarrod Long, someone broke into seven offices, all interconnected, sometime between Dec. 19 and Dec. 28. Long said the culprit stole a hard drive and compact discs from one of the offices.

The faculty member who discovered the missing items did not know what was on the hard drive, Long said.

The theft happened on the third floor of the communications building and no damage was done to the building.

Long said the suspect got into one office by lifting a ceiling tile and entered from the other side of a wall.

Investigators are now talking with other faculty members to determine what, if anything else, was stolen from the offices.
