Baxter County man arrested 11 months after alleged theft

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A Mountain Home man was arrested for stealing an SUV 11 months ago.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Department took a report on January 24 from a Norfork woman who said her son's SUV had been taken from her home without her son's permission.

Matthew Travis Sebree was identified as the suspect and on Jan. 29 a bench warrant for his arrest was obtained.

Sheriff John Montgomery said officers with the Department of Community Correction arrested Sebree on Nov. 14 for a separate parole violation. During that arrest, officers served him with the outstanding theft warrant.

Sebree is in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $10,815 bond.

He is charged with theft of property, parole violation, failure to appear in court, and contempt of court.
