BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A Mountain Home man has been arrested on charges related to an October burglary.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, the man stole a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, 50-feet of copper wire, a 42-inch television, and a jewelry box containing assorted jewelry, among other items on Oct. 26.

Using the Leads Online database, investigators discovered Amos Joseph Duquette, 52, had pawned the television. When questioned about the stolen television, officers said Duquette gave "conflicting accounts" of how it came to be in his possession.

A search warrant was obtained to search Duquette's home. Investigators found an all-terrain vehicle that was stolen from a Marion County business among the other reported stolen items.

Duquette was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of felony theft by receiving. He is also charged as a habitual offender due to his past criminal convictions.

He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond at the Baxter County Detention Center.
