BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A Mountain Home couple's stay at Bull Shoals Lake Resort was abruptly brought to an end because they were not allowed to be there.

The resort owners told police they found the couple living in a cabin on Oct. 29 after returning from an out of town trip. The owners did not know the couple or tell them they could be there.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery said the couple had been living in the cabin for three days. Montgomery said the couple damaged the cabin and poured wax down the kitchen sink.

The amount of rent and damage was estimated at $1,000, but the couple's three credit cards were declined.

Roger and Michelle Wickser were arrested and charged with a felony count of commercial burglary and misdemeanor criminal mischief in the first degree.

They were booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on Thursday and released the same day on a $5,000 bond each.
