Probation check turns up drugs, guns and money

RAVENDEN, AR (KAIT) - -  A probation check in Randolph County turns up drugs, guns and money.

According to Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble, five people were arrested as a result of the probation check.

Tribble said an Arkansas Community Correction officer requested assistance from the sheriff's department, Arkansas State Police and the Ravenden Springs and Ravenden Police Department after reports of heavy traffic at the home of a person on probation.

Tribble said during the compliance search, officers found illicit drugs. A search warrant was then obtained and that's when Tribble said they found 26 grams of methamphetamine, six grams of marijuana, two long guns, three hand guns and more than $2,700.

Two of the persons arrested at the home face numerous felony and misdemeanor charges.

Cody Slusser, 27, of Ravenden faces:
  • Possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance, marijuana
  • Possession of meth with intent to deliver
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to deliver
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a defaced firearm
  • Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms
  • Endangering the welfare of a minor 
  • Tampering with physical evidence

Katelyn Mathews, 21, of Ravenden faces:
  • Possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance, marijuana
  • Possession of meth with intent to deliver
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to deliver
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a defaced firearm
  • Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms
  • Endangering the welfare of a minor 
  • Possession of firearms by certain persons

Three others arrested at the home face misdemeanor charges.

Samantha Perrin of Black Rock and Ramona Broadway of Imboden were each charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Charles Davis of Paragould was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.
