USPS to deliver on Sunday in some Arkansas cities

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The United States Postal Service is trying to get packages where they need to be for the holiday season by delivering on Sunday.

USPS announced Monday they started delivering mail seven days a week and will continue to do so through Christmas Day in many large Arkansas cities.

The postal service cites a "continued double digit package volume growth" as the reason for the Sunday deliveries.

In northeast Arkansas, USPS will deliver on Sunday to the following cities: Batesville, Beebe, Blytheville, Jonesboro, Marion, Mountain Home, Paragould and Searcy. A total of 32 cities are included in the list.
