Wal-Mart Gives Red Cross $2 Million for Tsunami Relief

BENTONVILLE, AR - Wal-Mart announced today it will give $2 million to the Red Cross to help with tsunami relief efforts.  And, the Bentonville-based retail giant says it will use its stores and Web sites to collect additional money.

Wal-Mart has more than 3,600 outlets among its discount stores, Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets and Sam's Club warehouse stores.  Shoppers will be able to give money at collection points at the stores and at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club sites on the Internet.

The $2 million charitable donation is from the company's charitable foundation.
