Following a month-long investigation, police arrested a Mississippi County man Tuesday on 30 counts of child pornography.
According to Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, 22-year-old Kenneth Ethan Tyler "ET" Lafkin of Keiser is suspected of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Earlier this month agents with the attorney general's Cyber Crimes Unit began investigating Lafkin after suspecting that child pornography was being possessed at his home, McDaniel said.
Tuesday afternoon the agents, along with officers with the Keiser Police Department and Mississippi County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at Lafkin's home in the 300-block of Poplar Street.
Investigators seized a desktop computer, two laptop computers and other electronic devices, McDaniel stated in a news release. That evidence will be analyzed at the Cyber Crimes Unit's forensic lab in Little Rock.
Lafkin is currently being held at the Mississippi County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
