SIKESTON, MO (KAIT) - Sikeston police said they arrested a man believed to be armed and dangerous Sunday night.
According to a news release, they were called out to the 800 block of Mary Street early Sunday morning in response to a man being shot.
When officers arrived they found Tyrell Banks with a gunshot wound in his chest. Officers said he later died from the wound.
Sunday afternoon the murder suspect, Craig Marks, turned himself into Sikeston police.
A Scott County court later charged Marks with murder first degree and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was given a $150,000 cash only bond and remains in custody awaiting his arraignment, according to the news release.
