BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville police arrested a man after he barricaded himself in a hotel room for almost four hours.
Detectives received information that Bobby Chappell, who was wanted for aggravated robbery, was staying at the Relax Inn on Nov. 25.
According to police, Chappell barricaded himself in the room and refused to come out when officers arrived at the motel.
Detectives negotiated with him for around four hours and he finally agreed to leave the room.
Officers said they found the room with the ceiling damaged from Chappell pulling down the insulation and all the furniture moved to be used as a barricade.
The report said the damage was estimated to be around $1,000.
Chappell was charged with two counts of theft of property, aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm by certain persons and criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
His bond was set at $50,000 and is set to appear in court on Jan. 28.
