JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The following information was provided by the Craighead County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, Dec. 2. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
Chad Rose, 43, of Jonesboro was arrested Tuesday and charged with making meth. According to the incident report, deputies responding to a call of a trespasser making threats stopped Rose in the 6100-block of Highway 351. Due to the way he was speaking and his body movements, deputies reportedly suspected Rose of using methamphetamine. While patting him down, a deputy found several coffee filters in Rose's coat pocket. A K9 officer conducted an open air sniff and alerted twice on Rose's vehicle, the report stated. Deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and found several items used in the manufacture of meth, including lithium battery strips, cold packs, and plastic tubing, the report stated. Officers also reportedly found an old Cato credit card in the name of Aaron Morphis of the Arkansas State Police. Deputies arrested Rose and took him to the Craighead County Detention Center where he was charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of meth or cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was left without bond to await a probable cause hearing.
