HAYTI, MO (KAIT) -

Four suspects, including two wanted robbery suspects and a juvenile, were arrested by police in southeast Missouri.

Hayti Police Chief Paul Sheckell said early Tuesday morning officers from his department as well as the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department were inside a local business when they noticed two men enter the store. The officers observed the men acting suspiciously.

The men left the business and walked east on Highway 84 toward a vehicle parked at a closed business, Sheckell said. Officers tried to make contact with the men and one was detained, while another ran from officers.

Officers chased the man and a loaded handgun was found after a brief struggle. While the suspect tried to get away Sheckell said a woman ran over a suspect with the vehicle. Police later determined she was the driver of the getaway vehicle.

The man sustain minor injuries and required no medical treatment.

Patrick J.B. Novack, 17, of Alsip, IL, Anthony S. McKee, 25, of Frankfort, IL and Erin E. Kneack, 32, of Wheeling, IL were arrested and charged. A juvenile was also arrested and turned over to the Pemiscot County Juvenile Office.

Novack was charged with receiving stolen property and resisting, interfering with arrest. McKee was also charged with receiving stolen property. Kneack was charged with second degree assault and resisting, interfering with arrest. No bond was set for any of the three suspects.

Police discovered Novak and McKee were also involved in a robbery in Benton, IL and had arrest warrants for armed robbery. They could also face more robbery charges from other counties in Illinois.
