West Memphis man sentenced to 40 years in prison

WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) - A West Memphis man was sentenced to 40 years in prison after he robbed an 81 year-old woman, according to 2nd Judicial Prosecutor Scott Ellington.

Ellington said Terrio Pope, 19, of West Memphis was accused of a home invasion.

Pope pleaded guilty Friday to one count of aggravated residential burglary, aggravated robbery and battery in the first degree.

The plea was accepted by the Crittenden County Circuit Court, which sentenced Pope to 40 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
