JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A former Arkansas State University and NFL player was arrested in Jonesboro on drug charges.
According to a Jonesboro Police Department report, officers went to an apartment in the 500-block of North Caraway Road Friday night where they suspected drugs were being sold. The officers could smell marijuana coming from the apartment.
While officers waited for someone to answer the front door, a K-9 officer went to the back of the apartment to watch for anyone trying to leave.
Joshua Jarboe, former ASU and Washington Redskins wide receiver, finally answered the door.
The officer told the other officers he saw someone throw marijuana and drug paraphernalia out of the back window. He said Jarboe was the one who threw it by the rings he was wearing.
When searched, officers found $465 in Jarboe's pockets.
He was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.
He is charged with a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana, and felonies for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver.
He is held without a bond in lieu of a probable cause hearing.
He was also banned from the apartment complex.
