Mallory Jordan

Mallory is a Region 8 native from Weiner, AR, a small town located in Poinsett County. She joined the Region 8 News team in September 2014.

Mallory graduated from Weiner High School and attended college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in marketing. In college, she anchored and reported for the university television station, UATV, and was active in her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Mallory interned for Region 8 News the summer of 2012, and that is when she realized the news business was the place for her. The next summer, she spent three weeks in London, England, where she studied television and news production.

After graduating college in May 2014, she decided she wanted to start her career at home, in Region 8. Mallory is excited to explore more of Northeast Arkansas. Feel free to contact Mallory at mjordan@KAIT8.com, on Twitter @malmjordan, or on Facebook (Mallory Jordan-KAIT).

It's no secret rural Arkansas is struggling. From schools closing to infrastructure to population, many towns can’t stay afloat.
