Christmas tradition 'Winter Wonderland' returns to Jonesboro

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Winter Wonderland in downtown Jonesboro opened its doors on Tuesday for its Christmas tradition.

It's been a tradition in Jonesboro for about 20 years. Chrystal Glisson is the manager at the Jonesboro mayor's office and said 17 displays are up this year at the south end of the parking lot across the street from Jonesboro Radio Group.

"It's heartwarming," Glisson said. "You will walk out a little bit lighter. Not so much on your shoulders. It's a great place to come. Be with your family, have family time. We don't take enough time to be with our families."

The event is free and open to the public.

Their hours are Monday through Friday 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays are noon until 8:00.

Winter Wonderland will be open until December 21.
