JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Region 8 man faces sexual assault charges after police say he impregnated a 15-year-old girl.

Jonesboro police charged Andrew Marion Long, 43, of Trumann with fourth degree sexual assault.

According to court documents, investigators learned on August 30 a 15-year-old girl being treated at a local hospital was pregnant.

The victim told detectives Long was the father. She said he was the only person that she had ever had sex with, the affidavit stated.

Long lived with the victim and her family for approximately a month, during that time the victim and Long would sleep together in the living room, the document revealed.

The girl reportedly told detectives they only had sexual intercourse one time.

Long is currently being held at the Craighead County Detention Center.
