3 killed, 1 injured after blowout on I-55 in Mississippi Co.

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Three people were killed and one was injured in a Mississippi County crash over the weekend.

According to Arkansas State Police, Elva Figurero, 46, Gabriel Figurero, 46, and Navor Medina, 36, were killed in the crash on Interstate 55 just before 11:30 Sunday morning.

A trooper states in the crash report the SUV they were riding in had a left rear tire blowout near mile marker 66. The vehicle then over corrected, overturned and struck a ditch. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, another died at a Blytheville hospital, according to ASP.

The driver of the vehicle, Francisico Figurero, was taken to a Memphis hospital with unknown injuries.

All of those in vehicle were from Chicago, Illinois.
