JPD: Man grabs teen's money apron, robs her at work

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are searching for a man accused of robbing a carhop at a local restaurant Friday night.

In an incident report, police officers said the robbery happened shortly before 12 a.m. at the Sonic on East Johnson.

Officers said an 18-year-old carhop approached the suspect's driver side window to deliver food. The suspect grabbed her money apron, which was tied around her waist, and pulled her up against the car.

The witness said the suspect told her, "give me the money or I will hurt you”, and then drove off with $125 in cash.

The witness told police the suspect was a black man, with short black hair, a black beard and around his twenties or thirties.

The car is believed to be a black or dark blue four door car with an Arkansas license plate.

Police said they were not able to confirm the description of the car since the car was in an area just out of the view of the security camera.
