SIKESTON, MO (KAIT) - Two back to back fires kept Southeast Missouri firefighters busy on Saturday night.
Sikeston Department of Public Safety Capt. James McMillen said the first fire started around 9:30 at the 800-block of Woodruff.
Capt. McMillen said that fire started at the chimney fire.
Shortly after the first fire was reported, firefighters were sent to the 500-block of Wilson Street.
There they found an abandoned building engulfed in flames.
Capt. McMillen said they are investigated the second one as a suspicious fire.
