I'd like to say great job to several downtown Jonesboro residents. This week a group of people living near a vacant lot on Main Street bought that piece of property from convenience store chain Kum & Go.
There were plans to build a gas station there. Those residents complained but they didn't stop there - they actually did something. They were proactive.
WE all want our neighborhoods to be the best WE believe they should be. When something comes along and threatens what we hold to be sacred we speak out.
We should also offer an alternative instead of just complaining about everything. Take one from these residents who did something. I'm not sure what will go there, but hopefully they'll make their neighborhood and community better.
Finding solutions to our problems and making sure we take action makes this A Better Region 8.
