Caruthersville police search for shooting suspect

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) -

Police are searching for one of the gunmen involved in a Friday morning shooting in Caruthersville.

It happened around 3:00 a.m. at the Spot Dance Club. The club's owner told officers a woman was shot inside his club.

She was taken to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and later released.

Police arrested one suspect, Tishaun Carter, 30, of Kennett. He is charged with assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Officers were able to find Carter based off the witness' description of the vehicle he left in.

Carter was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail and has no bond. He is pending a court appearance.

Caruthersville officers are still investigating the incident.
