Blytheville man robbed at gunpoint as he washed vehicle

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - As he washed his car, a Blytheville man was robbed by two armed men who demanded the victim "put his hands up and turn around", according to a police report.

According to police, a man called police at 1:00 on the afternoon of Dec. 20, 2014. The man then told officers that as he washed his car on Short Street in Blytheville, two masked men armed with handguns walked up.

With the victim's hands up, one suspect took the wallet from his back pocket.

According to the report, both suspects started running south on Short Street to Moore Street. The victim yelled that he needed his wallet when one suspect took the money and dropped the wallet on the ground.

Police believe the suspects left in a silver Honda Accord. The victim said both suspects were in their 20s, but they were wearing bandanas over their faces.

If you know anything about this armed robbery, call the Blytheville Police Department at 870-762-0400 or 870-762-2677.
