Icy St. Louis-area highway causes accidents

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (AP) - Highway 364 in St. Louis County is open again after numerous accidents due to ice forced closure of the roadway during the early part of morning rush hour.

Four vehicles were involved in three separate accidents around 6 a.m. Friday in the Maryland Heights area, forcing the highway to be closed while crews treated it. The highway reopened before 7 a.m.

Two people were taken to hospitals following the accidents, but details about their injuries have not been released.
