JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A veterans center at Arkansas State University has recently received a grant.

Attorney General Dustin McDaniel announced this week the Beck PRIDE Center for America's Wounded Veterans at Arkansas State University received a $15,000 grant.

A news release from ASU states the center received a distribution of funds under Act 763 of 2013. It also states the Arkansas Attorney General's Office often gives settlement money to non-profit organizations whose members have adversely affected.

The money will be used to support the "needs of the veterans in the program in the areas of personal rehabilitation, individual development or education," the release stated.

The Beck PRIDE Center provides combat wounded veterans with educational programs and services at Arkansas State University.
