Woman wanted for breaking into College Corner Apartment

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro Police are searching for a woman wanted for criminal trespassing and burglary.

Police were called to the 1800-block of East Johnson Avenue Thursday afternoon for a burglary.

A short female with black hair was found sitting in what was supposed to be a vacant College Corner apartment.

The apartment manager said she got the female into the apartment complex office, where the suspect said she didn't know how she got to the apartment and that she was “crazy.”

When the manager called the police, the suspect left.

A maintenance worker tried to follow the woman, but couldn't keep up with her. Both witnesses said she was knocking on several doors in the area.

Police were also not able to find the suspect.

It appears the woman took the screen off a window and opened it to get into the apartment.
