2 killed in separate southeast Missouri crashes

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) -

Two men have died as a result of two separate early morning crashes in Missouri Saturday.

One crash happened in New Madrid County around 2 a.m. on County Road 248, just west of Tallapoosa. 

Byron Windham-Sharp, 21, of Gideon died after the vehicle he was driving went off the road, hit a telephone box, went off a bridge and overturned into a ditch, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

It is not known if Windham-Sharp was wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report. He had been reported missing by family members.

In a separate incident, MSHP stated another fatal crash happened at 2:20 a.m. on Highway C, just south of Poplar Bluff.

Trennis Talley, 36, of Dexter died after the vehicle he was driving went off the road and overturned. Talley was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, according to MSHP.

The crash report states Talley was not wearing a seat belt.
