JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The Arkansas State University Police Department is asking students to be on high alert after an alleged rape on campus Friday morning.

According to an incident report, an 18-year-old female student told police about a possible sexual assault that happened at the Sigma Pi Fraternity house on University Loop.

In a campus security notice for students, university police said the incident happened shortly before 7 a.m. Police also said there are no suspects in this case, and that they were investigating.

Both the security notice and a statement from Arkansas State said people who are a part of the campus are encouraged to remain aware of their surroundings and property at all times.

Both are asking anyone with information to call police at (870) 972-2093.
