2 arrested for drugs after car runs off road

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police arrested two people early Friday morning on drug charges.

Police said they received a call about an SUV that had ran off the roadway. The driver of the car, Seth Anderson, 37, said he was tired and must have fallen asleep while driving.

A homeowner who lived near where the accident happened said they came outside after hearing a crash. They said another car pulled up and that Anderson and other people started putting items from the SUV into plastic bags, and had put those bags in the trunk of the other car.

Police said they found Clonazepam pills, Adderall pills, and meth in that car.

According to the police report, the driver of that second car, Brittany Taylor said the drugs were not hers, but also told police that she would probably test positive for amphetamines.

Anderson was arrested on drug, hazardous driving and no proof of insurance charges.

Taylor was also arrested in this case, but there is no information on her charges.
