Georgia State defeats Arkansas State Men 60-54

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas State men's basketball team was close to getting their third straight win against a very tough Georgia State team on Monday Night.

Arkansas State had a chance to tie the game late when a PJ Hardwick three point attempt rimmed out and the Red Wolves were forced to foul, sending Georgia State to the line to secure the win.

The Panthers were playing without standout guard Ryan Harrow but other players stepped up to drive Georgia State to victory.

The Red Wolves were lead in scoring by Sean Gardner, who drained 19 points. Anthony Livingston also recorded another double-double for the Red Wolves as they fell to 8-9 on the season with a 3-5 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.

Arkansas State returns to the floor with a Thursday night road game at Louisiana-Lafayette.
