JESUP, AR (KAIT) - A man arrested in Lawrence County 2 years ago as part of a vehicle death investigation will serve time in jail.
According to Lawrence County court documents, Daniel Walling pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and was sentenced to 144 months in prison.
Walling was arrested in Oct. 2013 following a crash in Jessup at the Highway 115 and 117 intersection. According to an affidavit, Tiffany Ramsey was killed in the crash. Walling was the driver of the vehicle and was located a day later after the crash.
In the same affidavit, Walling told investigators he had 3 beers, 1 joint and smoked meth before the crash.
Walling will serve out his sentence in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
