LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Huckabee is set to give his final State of the State address this morning to a joint session of the Arkansas Legislature.

Huckabee has spent the last few months touring the state promoting his priorities for the legislative session, including higher education, health care and highways.

Huckabee has proposed a more than $100 million increase in higher education funding.  He also has spoken in general terms about his other legislative priorities of improving health care and pushing a $1 billion highway construction program.

Huckabee praised legislators' work yesterday.  He said there appears to be an optimistic spirit and positive leadership within the Legislature.
