Tyronza man killed in hunting incident

MELBOURNE, AR (KAIT) - A Tyronza man is dead following a hunting accident in Izard County.

Ethan McFall, 20, died Saturday as a result of the incident, according to the Izard County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies were called to Jumbo Road, west of Melbourne, around 10 a.m. to the report of a shooting. Officers found that 4 family members from Tyronza, including McFall, were walking and hunting on land they had recently acquired.

As they were doing so, a family member stumbled and a 12-gauge shotgun was fired into the back of McFall, according to the sheriff's department. He was later taken by ambulance to a Batesville hospital where he was pronounced dead.
